An online meeting with education applicants was held at the Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism.
On November 11, 2021, an online meeting of education applicants of the Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism was held on the Teams platform. The event was dedicated to the issue of countering the spread of the incidence of COVID-19 and the epidemiological situation that has developed in the region recently.
Mykhailo Chumak, Deputy Director for Social and Humanitarian Work of the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism, introduced education applicants to the latest official data on the Luhansk region, reflecting the incidence of COVID-19. During the meeting, education applicants once again received an explanation of the main symptoms that indicate the presence of coronavirus and the algorithm of actions in case of suspected coronavirus disease. Additionally, those present at the meeting reiterated the basic recommendations for protection against COVID-19 and its new strains.
Special attention was paid to the issue of vaccination. According to studies by Ukrainian and foreign scientists, vaccination against COVID-19 is the most effective means of counteracting the severe course of the disease and saves lives. In addition, vaccination contributes to the formation of herd immunity, which, in turn, accelerates the process of overcoming the pandemic both in Ukraine and around the world. Thus, vaccination is not only a concern for one’s health, but also a manifestation of high social responsibility.
The topic of the importance of vaccination aroused interest and clarifying questions among education applicants. In particular, it was once again proclaimed about the gratuitousness of vaccinations, the location of vaccination points in the Luhansk region, it was explained what the “green” and “yellow” COVID certificates were, and the phones of the hot lines of the contact centers of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine were provided.
