Contest for expressive reading of poetry about the language
10.11.2021
The Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications held a competition for expressive reading of poetry about the language.
Today, November 10, at the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications, a poetry reading competition about language was held, timed to coincide with the Day of Ukrainian Written Language and Writing. The event was held on the Microsoft Teams platform.
For centuries, the Ukrainian language has been harassed and persecuted. It was only during the independence of our state that the Ukrainian language came out of the shadows. It became official at the level of statehood. Every year, on November 9, Ukraine celebrates the Day of the Ukrainian Language and Written Language, which falls on the Orthodox holiday – the Day of Honoring the Monk Nestor the Chronicler. After all, researchers believe that it is with his work that the written Ukrainian language begins.
