An open lecture from a practicing designer took place.

On November 03, 2021, an open lecture from the practicing designer Mark Mosienko was held at the Design Department of the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism using the Zoom platform.

The event was attended by education applicants and teachers of our higher educational institution and guests, including Lilia Saprykina, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design of Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University together with higher education applicants and teachers with students of Bohdan Khmelnytsky Melitopol State Pedagogical University.

A graduate of our university shared with the audience his experience of international work, because for more than 10 years he has been working in the field of graphic design. During the conversation, Mark said that his customers are people from Belarus, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Norway, Germany and the United States. Since 2020, Mark has been an employee of a large company “Data Monstersˮ, located in California.

Among the main tips that the designer sincerely shared were to work on your portfolio, not to be afraid to experiment and present yourself, to educate yourself and develop taste. Mark noted that the university is a good vector of movement, but everyone should move on and not stop at self-development.

The event took place in a warm, favorable atmosphere of live communication. Participants asked questions to which Mark happily answered. They also learned what software package he was working with, gave advice on securing himself as a professional and methods to inspire him to new jobs.
