Final Meeting on Academic Integrity

On October 1, a final meeting was held with Yevhenia Moskalevych, Assistant of the Academic Integrity and Education Quality Initiative – Academic IQ project within the STOP Plagiarism Academic Integrity Promotion Project.
Students, graduate students and teachers learned about the Academic Integrity and Quality Initiative (Academic IQ) Project, implemented by the American Councils for International Education with the assistance of the US Embassy in Ukraine (Press, Education and Culture). Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education and aims to unite the professional community of educators to share experiences and cooperate to institutionalize the principles of academic integrity in the system of secondary and higher education in Ukraine. Yevhenia Moskalevych spoke about the principles of academic integrity, types of violations and how they can affect career development.
The meeting resulted in the answer to the question “Why do we need academic integrity?”:
Ability to take responsibility for the actions;
Education of independence;
Acquisition of moral and ethical values;
Trust in your diploma and your knowledge and skills;
Formation of critical thinking and analysis;
Ability to structure the thoughts / presentation skills;
Ability to analyze information sources // information literacy;
Rationalize your actions.
