The teaching staff of the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications and higher education applicants joined the Academic Integrity Webinar.
On November 1, the teaching staff and higher education applicants of the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications joined the webinar “Academic Integrity for Personal and Career Development”. The event took place within the framework of the STOP plagiarism project.
The lecturer was Yevhenia Moskalevych, an assistant of the project “Initiative for Academic Virtue and the Quality of Education – Academic IQ”, which has repeatedly held webinars on academic integrity and plagiarism. Today she talked about what academic integrity and academic writing, reputational risks, personal and career development with the principles of ADC are. “An integral part of the academic life of a scientist is adherence to the rules of academic integrity and ethics,” the webinar coordinator notes.
The lecturer paid attention to the importance of forming a personal identity with the values of academic integrity, the main characteristic concepts of which are: honesty, courage, justice and others. Yevhenia’s photo and video examples helped the audience to better understand the causes and consequences of plagiarism; these examples of violations of academic integrity sparked lively discussion.
