Participation in the Conference CAMPE-2021

The teacher of the Department of Production Technologies and Professional Education took part in the International conference.

From 18 to 20 October 2021, the A. N. Podgorny Institute of Mechanical Engineering Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine hosted the International Conference on Advanced Mechanical and Power Engineering (CAMPE-2021).

This conference was organized by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, A. N. Podgorny Institute of Mechanical Engineering Problems of the NAS of Ukraine, the Engineering Academy of Ukraine and JSC “Ukrainian Power Machines”.

Due to safety concerns and travel restrictions caused by COVID-19, the CAMPE-2021 took place online.

CAMPE-2021 focused on promoting research activities, intensifying the exchange of scientific information in the field of power engineering between researchers, developers and manufacturers.

The work of the CAMPE-2021 conference took place in the following areas:

  • fluid mechanics and heat and mass transfer in power engineering;
  • energy saving technologies in energy and ecology;
  • dynamics and strength of power equipment.

At the beginning of the event, the participants were greeted by the chairman of the organizing committee, corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine Andrii Kostikov (A. N. Podgorny Institute of Mechanical Engineering Problems of the NAS of Ukraine), Holm ALTENBACH (Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany), Alex Cheng (University of Mississippi, the USA), Xiao-Wei GAO (Dalian University of Technology, China), Mikhail LOTOTSKY (Tshwane University of Technology, South Africa), Viktor Popov (Ascend Technologies Ltd., Wessex House, Hampshire, UK).

Andrii Kostikov thanked the authors for their contributions, Program Committee members and invited external reviewers for their efforts and experience and contributions to peer review, without which it would have been impossible to maintain high standards of peer-reviewed articles; and partners Springer, EasyChair, StrikePlagiarism and the sponsor “Ukrainian Power Machines” JSC for their support in the preparation of CAMPE-2021. He also announced the next conference in October 2022.

Participants of 26 countries were involved in the work of the CAMPE-2021 conference, who submitted 85 papers (statistics of the international platform EasyChair): Azerbaijan, Algeria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Brazil, Great Britain, Vietnam, Greece, Ethiopia, Israel, India, Canada, China, Morocco, Mexico, Germany, South Korea, South Africa, Poland, USA, Hungary, Ukraine, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Sweden.

From Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University was the Associate Professor, Ph.D. of the Department of Production Technologies and Professional Education of the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism – Valerii Kolesnikov.

He gave a live presentation and speech in English. Topic of the report: “Rotor shafts steels properties changes after long-term operation in hydrogen-containing environment”

Co-authors of the work: Prof. Doctor of Technical Sciences Balitskii, A. I. (Karpenko Physico-mechanical Institute, Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences), Ph.D. Havrylyuk, M.R., Ivaskevich, L. M., prof. Abramek, K. F. West Pomeranian University of Technology (Szczecin, Poland).

Based on the materials of the conference, it is planned to publish the conference collection of works, that will be cited in the scientific metric system Scopus.
