On October 27, within the framework of the STOP Plagiarism project, an online meeting was held with students on the topic Academic Writing in Ukrainian and Foreign Languages.

Participants got acquainted with the concept of academic writing, recommendations for writing effective academic texts, types of scientific texts, research methods and rules of bibliography.

Academic writing is an important component of academic integrity.

Observance of academic integrity by pedagogical, scientific-pedagogical, scientific workers and students provides:

– links to sources of information in the case of the use of ideas, developments, statements, information;

– compliance with the legislation on copyright and related rights;

– providing reliable information about research methods and results, sources of information used and own pedagogical (scientific-pedagogical, creative) activity;

– control over the observance of academic integrity by students;

– objective assessment of learning outcomes.

The STOP Plagiarism project is implemented by the Window on America Center, the NGO Active Community, and Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University with the financial support of the US Embassy in Ukraine.
