Screening of a documentary film

The teacher of the ER ICA became the author of the film “Garden of the Gods”.

On October 20, the I. Kotlyarevsky Poltava Regional Scientific Library hosted a screening of the documentary “Garden of the Gods”, dedicated to the life and work of the famous artist Ivan Miasoiedov. The authors of the film are Olena Mushynska and Artur Aroian, PhD in Architecture, Associate Professor of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts.

Students majoring in “Fine Arts, Decorative Arts and Restoration” and teachers of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts came to support their teacher. Also, this film was very interesting for the library staff and Poltava residents who are interested in the history of their native land.

Work on the film “Garden of the Gods” has been going on for the last year and a half. The film shows the Poltava period of the life of Ivan Miasoiedov and the creation of the artistic association “Garden of the Gods” by him. The film does not use offscreen text, communication with the viewer takes place through visuals and music. The authors of the picture did not set themselves the task of finding answers to the questions that bubble up around the mythologized figure of the artist Ivan Miasoiedov, but they tried to pose exactly the right questions, because this is also art.
