GW for Education course

The Lecturer of the Management Department completed the GW for Education course. 

The lecturer of the Management Department Maria Matushkina took part in the training course “Google Digital Tools for Institutions of Higher, Professional and Advanced Education.”

The training was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Academy of Digital Development with the support of Google Ukraine to expand the possibilities of using digital tools for organizing distance learning and increasing the efficiency of the educational process. The course was held from 4 to 18 October.

The training process took place in secure virtual training rooms of Google Classes with the provision of effective feedback through the support and consultation of trainers. A recording of a lecture was published for each topic, an additional consultation was organized via videoconferences in Google Meet, during which there was an opportunity to ask questions to the trainer live.

The training covered the following topics: “How to organize effective interaction between participants in the educational process using Google digital tools?”, “What are the features and benefits of Google Workspace for Education?” peripherals and mobile devices? ”,“ How to create and maintain a personal information space for a teacher of a higher education institution? ”.

Particular attention was paid to the organization of distance learning: preparing tasks in virtual rooms, collecting work of higher education applicants, attracting them to secure video meetings, organizing automatic import of grades, maintaining electronic journals, generating and sending reports for management, using the capabilities of various devices for a secure educational process online.

List of applications the participants worked with: Gmail, Google Class, Google Meet, Google Calendar, Google Keep, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, App Sheet, Google Slides, Google Forms, Google Jamboard, Google My Maps, getting to know the program “local experts”, Google Sites, Google Trends, Google Academy, Google Groups, Google Alerts, Google Drive Object Add-on, Google Chrome, Google Help, Google Security Center, Google Workspace features.

As a result of the course, a certificate of successful completion of training under the program “Google Digital Tools for Higher Education” was received in the amount of 15 hours (0.5 ECTS credits).
