Introductory lecture for freshmen

On October 19, freshmen of the Faculty of Natural Sciences visited the university library, where they listened to an introductory lecture.

During this lecture, the education applicants were introduced to the structure of the library and its working hours, rules of conduct in the library, explained and clearly demonstrated the use of the library’s electronic resources: an electronic reading room, a digital repository, access to Scopus, Web of Science and ScienceDirect databases.

At the end of the lecture, the education applicants had the opportunity to look through the new acquisitions of literature and choose the textbooks they needed.

How many books do you need to read to be educated, smart, wise, to know the world? Nobody knows that. You need to read all your life. We hope that freshmen will become frequent guests of the library, because people read books, learning and acquiring knowledge.
