Training on academic integrity

A training on academic integrity was held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

On October 19-20, the training “Academic Integrity in Educational Institutions” took place. The training was conducted within the framework of the STOP Plagiarism project implemented by the Window on America Center, the NGO Active Community and Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University with the financial support of the US Embassy in Ukraine. Participants of the training were students of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Department of Oriental Languages, graduate students, teachers.

During the training, participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with regulations and documents governing compliance with the principles of academic integrity, with the main types of violations of academic integrity, the rules of citation and list of references.

The education system is one of the most important factors in changing human consciousness. In view of this, the worldview content and quality of education depends on how social relations will be formed, on what values, principles, ideas. Universities play a crucial role in the transfer and dissemination of cultural and social capital. It is here that a new generation of national elites is growing, which in a few years will begin to make major decisions. It will depend on what kind of relations will develop in the economy, politics, business and social sphere

The training on academic integrity is the third event within the STOP plagiarism project.
