Results of the online competition

The Design Department summed up the results of the online competition of thematic works.

On the initiative of the Design Department of the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism, an online competition of thematic works for the Artist’s Day was held for students and teachers. The theme of the event was the slogan “Anyone can offend an artist, but only the chosen one can understand”.

The objectives of the Competition were the creative self-realization of higher education applicants and scientific and pedagogical workers of the support group for the EP “Graphic Design”, stimulation and recognition of the creative abilities of the participants of the Competition; creating motivation for further development in the field of visual arts; the formation of a positive influence on the attitude of society towards the possibilities and abilities of artists.

Participants had the opportunity to submit work in two versions: made on paper using various artistic techniques (collage, mixed techniques, etc.) using watercolors, gouache, pastels, pencils and made in graphic editors in electronic format (jpeg, png).

The competition committee determined the winners in four nominations. So, according to the results of voting in the nomination “Thematic photo for the Artist’s Day”, the winner was the higher education applicant of the II (master’s) level of 1 year of study Kateryna Osadcha with work “Photo artists in the process of work and study”. In the nomination “Thematic poster for the Artist’s Day”, two third-year higher education applicants, Yevhenia Pogrebnichenko and Olha Boiko, won. The 3rd year student Polina Kiichenko won the nomination “Artistic interpretation of the slogan”. The last one was the nomination “Contemporary Ukrainian Art”, where the winner was the first-year higher education applicant of the II (master’s) level Hlib Borysov.

The winners of the Competition received certificates and incentive prizes, and all participants in the Competition received certificates of participation.
