Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University received a huge amount of modern literature from the chairman of the Supervisory Council Oleksii Dniprov.

Literature is a window into the world, a source of new knowledge, a key to vivid emotions and experiences. It is the books that are faithful advisers who shape everyone’s spiritual environment, help expand the range of scientific interests and form highly educated and wise teachers.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the foundation of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Chairman of the Supervisory Council of the University, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksii Dniprov donated about 300 copies of modern literature to the Scientific Library. It can be conditionally divided into two large groups: fiction and scientific literature of the humanitarian direction in pedagogy, psychology, political science, sociology, philology, etc.

Students of our HEI were the first to get acquainted with the received gift in compliance with all quarantine requirements. Today, the administration and university teachers joined the viewing of modern publications. The exposition was attended by vice-rectors for scientific and pedagogical work Oleksandr Meniailenko and Oleksandr Babichev, director of the ER IPP Olena Karaman. The Director of the Scientific Library Maria Pochinkova says, “The library has replenished with completely new editions, mainly from the Alma Mater publishing house, perhaps known for its valuable publications and fiction of contemporaries and classics”.

The University sincerely thanks the highly respected Oleksii Serhiiovych for a pleasant surprise, which will be the key to the development and prosperity of Alma Mater. Giving is a movement of the soul, disinterested generosity and goodwill of the giver. This contribution to the library fund will significantly strengthen the educational, methodological and informational support, which will undoubtedly help during the passage of accreditation and the provision of the educational process at the university.
