Volleyball competitions

Volleyball competitions were held at the Institute of Physical Education and Sports.
On October 12-13, 2021, volleyball competitions dedicated to the Day of Defenders and Defendresses of Ukraine and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” took place at the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports.
Combined mens’ and women’s teams took part; the teams were formed within the same year, regardless of the specialty.
On October 12, the combined men’s teams of 1st to the 4th year played, where each game was spectacular and interesting. The combined teams of the 2nd and 4th years fought for the III place, the national team of the 2nd year won. In a bitter struggle for the 1st place the combined teams of the 1st and 3rd years met, the combined team of the 1st year won.
On October 13, a game among women’s teams of the 1st and 2nd-3rd years took place. A very exciting and emotional game stood out among the teams. The combined team of the 1st year won the victory.
All teams were awarded with certificates and prizes, and the best players of the tournament were also awarded.
Among men:
- “The best blocking player of the tournament”- Danylo Dmitruk;
- “The best attacking player of the tournament” – Rostyslav Zhuravel;
- “The best blocker of the tournament” – Vadym Dudka;
- “The best player of the tournament” – Ilia Kurus.
Among women:
- “The best blocking tournament” – Angelina Cherepivska;
- “The best defender of the tournament” – Vira Orlova;
- “The best player of the tournament” – Valentyna Vasiura;
After the tournament, a friendly match took place between the student tem of the institute and the team of the teaching staff of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports. Applicants for higher education showed a high level of play and solidarity during the game and won a landslide victory.
