Victory in the nomination “Frontline Teacher”

The winner in the nomination “Frontline Teacher” was determined for the first time on the stage of the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine. 

Congratulations to Tamara Umanska, a graduate of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications, on the nomination “Front-Line Teacher”.

“This is the first time such a nomination was created, and I want it to be the last time. So that we never have teachers of the front-line zone again, and we just all were teachers of Ukraine, from Luhansk to Donetsk,” Tamara Umanska noted.

Tamara has a number of high pedagogical achievements, awards and publications and is actively involved in the development of society. In addition to teaching, she has also been volunteering for over 6 years and translating socially significant works.

The teacher and her students participate in various educational projects, exchange, and performances. The jury of Global Techer Prize Ukraine 2021 noted her superpower to give 100% to her work and to involve students in really valuable initiatives. The organizers of the award note that this is not only a story of their own achievements, but the maximum involvement of the school and children, and this is very important.
