International Translator’s Day

The Faculty of Foreign Languages celebrated the International Translator’s Day.

September 30 is traditionally celebrated in the world as Translator’s Day. Due to quarantine restrictions, teachers of the Translation Studies Department S.Perova , N.Demchenko, Y.Ternievska and O. Korinska have held a thematic event on the Zoom platform.

Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation Svitlana Perova conducted a master class on literary translation. Everyone had the opportunity to join the translation of an excerpt from a work of art by Tobias Wolff.

The event was attended by students of different courses. Presentations and posters with interesting information related to various aspects of translation were prepared in advance. They were presented to all participants of the event, for greater immersion in the topic of translation.
