Victory in the tourist routes competition

On September 27, 2021, the results of the tourist routes competition “In the footsteps of the “Beech Land”” were summed up Chernivtsi city.
The competition was initiated by the author of the novel “Beech Land”, Shevchenko Prize laureate Maria Matios and organized with the support of the Bukovyna Cultural Fund of the Chernivtsi Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Mykhailo Ivasiuk.
Among the 20 routes presented for the competition, the third place was taken by the project “Border / Infinity. From Bridge to Bridge”, created by teachers of our university: Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Philology and General Linguistics Valentyna Lesnova, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Literature Svitlana Negodiaieva and senior teacher of the Department of Ukrainian History Olha Zabudkova.
The route introduces Stanytsia Luhanska, where the events of the novel “Beech Land” end. With the support of the administration of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, a film was created that presents the historical objects mentioned in the novel.
