Dear teachers! Taking into account your numerous requests, the program of the course “Google Digital Tools for Higher, Professional and Higher Education”, which starts on October 4, 2021, has been expanded to 30 hours (1 ECTS credit)!

Heads of institutions of higher, professional before higher education, teachers!

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, with the support of Google Ukraine, to expand the possibilities of using digital tools for organizing distance learning and increase the efficiency of the educational process, will organize free training on the course “Google digital tools for higher, professional and advanced education”, which will be held from 04 to 18 October 2021 (Letter from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine).

How the training will take place. Participants will receive assignments in the secure virtual training rooms of Google Classes, where effective feedback is provided through the accompaniment and consultations of trainers in private comments. A recording of a lecture will be published for each topic, an additional consultation will be organized via videoconferences in Google Meet, during which each participant will  be able to ask questions to the trainer live, to demonstrate a screen to solve a problem situation.

What they will teach. How to organize effective interaction between participants in the educational process using Google digital tools, what are the features and benefits of Google Workspace for Education, how to work with an account of a higher education institution on various devices: using a computer and a mobile device. How to create and maintain a personal information space for a teacher of a higher education institution. Particular attention will be paid to the organization of distance learning: how to prepare tasks in virtual rooms, collect student papers, involve in secure video meetings, organize automatic import of grades, maintain electronic journals, provide reports for caregivers, generate reports for management, use the capabilities of various devices for a secure educational process online.

The list of applications to be worked out: Gmail, Google Class, Google Meet, Google Calendar, Google Keep, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, App Sheet, Google Slides, Google Forms, Google Jamboard, Google Maps, getting to know the program ” Local Experts ”, Google Sites, Google Trends, Google Academy, Google Groups, Google Alerts, Google Drive Object Add-on, Google Chrome, Google Help, Google Security Center, Google Workspace features.

The training will begin on October 4, 2021 at 17:00 with watching a video broadcast with a description of the educational process, familiarity with the program, organizational issues and problem materials. The course contains five modules, each of which consists of video lectures, practical tasks, a final test, designed to process materials for 1-2 hours daily.

The educational process for the course is organized in a secure virtual room, methodological support, counseling is provided, for the period of study, a temporary personal account is provided in a real system for the opportunity to get acquainted with the advantages of the Google Workspace for Education system.

At the end of the course, participants will receive a certificate of successful completion of the Google Digital Tools for Higher Education program in the amount of 30 hours (1 ECTS credit).
