The Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business of the ER ICSTT celebrated World Tourism Day.

Traditionally, on the eve of World Tourism Day, the teachers of the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business, held thematic events together with the students.

Thus, a third-year student Yaroslav Vozniak majoring in “Tourism” conducted a city tour “Legends of Starobilsk Land” for first-year students majoring in “Tourism” and “Hotel and Restaurant Business”.

The Acting Rector, founder of the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business Vitalii Kurylo addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, who noted that tourism is one of the promising areas of socio-economic development of the country, regions, cities.

The Assistant of the Department Yana Moroz prepared a presentation “The Historical Aspect of the Creation of the World Tourism Day”.

With the help of the platform “Skype”, a student of the second (master’s) level of higher education Yelyzaveta Liaschenko, who is the tourism manager of one of the leading travel agencies of our country “Come with us”, joined the event. In her report, she drew attention to the prospects for the development of the tourism industry, the variety of tourism services and the formation of professional competencies of a modern specialist.

During the event, students were involved in interactive activities and took the initiative of personal participation in the development of regional tourism.

Vivid emotions, excellent mood, positive impression became the key to celebrating the World Tourism Day!
