The staff of the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications congratulates Kateryna Hlukhovtseva on receiving the state award.

Congratulations to Kateryna Hlukhovtseva, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Head of the Department of Ukrainian Philology and General Linguistics, on receiving the state award of the Order of Princess Olga III degree for outstanding services in the state, scientific, educational, cultural spheres of public activity.

The Professor has been working in our higher educational institution for 42 years. In 1976, she began her scientific career as an assistant at the Department of Ukrainian Language at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko State Pedagogical Institute, and in 1992 she defended her thesis and became a Candidate of Philological Sciences. Since 1994, she was the Associate Professor of the same department. In 2006 she defended her doctoral dissertation. In 2007, Kateryna Hlukhovtseva became a Professor at the Department of Ukrainian Philology and General Linguistics.

The sphere of scientific interests is the study of the peculiarities of people’s speech in the historical Eastern Slobozhanshchina, modern Luhansk oblast, in particular, studies the dynamic processes in the structure of the Ukrainian East Slobozhansk dialects.
