“Picturesque September” in Poltava

The education applicants of the Institute of Culture and Arts visited the exhibition “Picturesque September”.
On September 22, students majoring in “Fine Arts, Decorative Arts, Restoration” together with their advisers visited the exhibition “Picturesque September”, dedicated to the important holiday for all Poltava citizens – the City Day, which is celebrated on September 23rd. The exhibition was held in the spacious halls of the Poltava Art Gallery named after Mykola Yaroshenko.
At the exhibition, among the creative works of Poltava artists, there were also exhibited art works by teachers of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts, Oleksii Sobolevskyi and Dmytro Korshunov, 1st year master’s students majoring in “Fine Arts, Decorative Arts, Restoration” – Kateryna Khyzhniak and Olena Tupikina, and works of our graduates Denis Zozulia and Nadiia Zaichenko.
This exhibition is traditional, the National Union of Artists of Ukraine has been organizing it for 20 years in a row. More than 60 artists took part in the exhibition, showing more than 100 works of different genres: tapestries, dolls, painting, graphics, sculpture. Through this exhibition, the artists sought to express their love for Poltava, and the main theme of the exhibition was Poltava itself, its inhabitants, architecture and picturesque nature.
