Honorary Doctor of Science of LTSNU

The title of Honorary Doctor of Sciences of LTSNU was awarded at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. 

By the decision of the Academic Council, the title of Honorary Doctor of Sciences of LTSNU was awarded to the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksii Dniprov, President of the Confederation of Employers of Ukraine Oleh Shevchuk and Chairman of the Supervisory Council of the Closed Nondiversified Venture Corporate Investment Fund “Kailas” Serhii Lysants.

Oleksii Dniprov is a Doctor of Law, a civil servant of the 2nd rank, the chairman of the Supervisory Council of LTSNU. Since 1998, he has been actively involved in social and scientific work, as evidence of this is his career growth from the chairman of the Council of the Youth Public Organization “Right for All” (1998-2002), senior consultant to the Secretariat of the Committee on Freedom of Expression and Information (2003-2004) to the Head of the Office of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine (2016-2019) and the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine (from 07.2021 to the present).

The biographical history of the Candidate of Economic Sciences Oleh Shevchuk is diverse and rich. For 53 years of his life, he was the founder and chairman of the board of the Obrii group of companies (1990-1996), was a member of the leadership of the Green Party of Ukraine (1990-2006), headed the State Committee for Communications and Informatization of Ukraine (1999-2001), was the chairman of the Supervisory Council of the Social Insurance Fund for temporary disability (2005-2007) and the people’s deputy of Ukraine of the III, VI, VII convocations. Now Oleh Borysovych is the chairman of the board of the Social Insurance Fund of Ukraine, the president of the Confederation of Employers of Ukraine and a member of the Supervisory Council of our university.

Serhii Lyzanets is the chairman of the Supervisory Council of the closed non-diversified venture corporate investment fund “Kailas” and the head of the private enterprise “Horihovi Kruchi”, as well as the secretary of the supervisory board of our university. Serhii Vasylovych was able to grow from a car mechanic to a deputy of the Luhansk Regional Council from the Milove district and the head of large enterprises.

These people are the basis on which the staff of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University can rely. They helped to restore the material and technical base and establish international cooperation of our university in difficult years.
