Honorary Professor of LTSNU

The title of Honorary Professor of LTSNU was awarded at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

By the decision of the Academic Council, the title “Honorary Professor of LTSNU” was awarded to Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor, Teacher of the Psychology Department Volodymyr Makarov and Candidate of Philosophy, Associate Professor, Director of the ER ICA Nelia Nazarenko.

These people are the driving force behind the development of scientific and research activities not only for our higher educational institution, but for the entire nation. Their achievements are highly appreciated at the state and international levels.

Volodymyr Makarov is an experienced psychologist. During his 30 years at the university, he published a huge number of publications. More than a thousand master’s students have been defended their theses under his scientific supervision, who later became highly qualified specialists. Thanks to hard work, Volodymyr Ivanovych was able to grow from a teacher of the secondary school in the town of Schastia, Voroshilovgrad region, to the Associate Professor of the Psychology Department at our university with a 100-year history. Now he is researching topical issues of psychological counseling and psychotherapy. Over the long period of work at our university, the scientist has accumulated many interesting stories, one of which he shared during the conversation: “The situation with the ghost was the most vivid of all for me. I helped a student to get rid of her childhood fears. During the conversation, the girl said that when she was little, her family moved to a new house, which was built on the site of an old cemetery. Children with the edge of their ears heard the conversations of adults about ghosts, and they were postponed to her for life. And since then, every night for many years, an imaginary ghost came to her, who seemed to sit down next to her and tried to intimidate her. Imagine, time has passed, she has already become an adult, and the problem has not disappeared. So I realized that without my help it would be difficult for her. Applying the NLP technique, I was able to help her. So, the child’s subconscious is very weak and it absorbs all the information. Therefore, adults should take care that their child does not hear or see traumatic factorsˮ.

On this holiday, Volodymyr Ivanovych, first of all, wished his colleagues personal happiness, as well as family well-being and professional success.

Nelia Nazarenko, who has devoted herself to music for 40 years, has gone from a music educator to a recognized scientist. “One of the few achievements of my youth is the fairly high development of music schools. Musical education was quite a promising occupation, so my mother sent me to a music studio, and since then I have not left this path,” Nelia Nazarenko recalled.

A graduate of 1986, she began her career as an accompanist at the Department of Theory, History of Music and Playing Musical Instruments at the Voroshilovgrad State Pedagogical Institute named after Taras Shevchenko. The piano has become a faithful friend for her, through which she can convey all her feelings and emotions. Nelia Viacheslavivna quickly managed to achieve the high position of the Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts and deservedly received the title of Honorary Professor of our University.

To the question, “What are the most vivid memories in your memory during your work?” The professor replied: “All the events that take place in our institute are bright, interesting and unforgettable. Starting from the daily educational process, diverse and multilingual communication in the student environment, where Chinese, Serbian and Arabic languages were sounded, and ending with regular holidays and highly professional concerts, staging opera performances, organizing creative projects of an international level – all this is not only pleasant memories, but also a guideline, an incentive for further workˮ.

“On this festive day, I would like to wish first of all good health, peace, prosperity, well-being, patience, energy and creative success,” Nelia Viacheslavivna said in a friendly way.

The staff of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University sincerely congratulates Honorary Professors on receiving a high rank. Thank you for your invaluable discoveries in research activities and dedication to the native university!
