Bachelor’s and master’s students of the Design Department joined the event.

On September 21, a round table was held within the framework of cooperation with the Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University in a mixed format. The event was attended by the head of the Design Department Iryna Prodan, Professor Viacheslav Borisov and visiting lecturer Olena Polishchuk, Professor, Doctor of Philosophy, Director of the Center for Aesthetic Anthropology and Ethnocultural Studies.

The theme of the event was “Artistic-Design Thinking and its Features”. During the event, those present discussed the theoretical and methodological aspect of human thinking as a phenomenon, types of thinking by the method of forming thought, considered the types of artistic thinking and its carriers. “A bearer of artistic thinking can be a scientist, engineer, artist, sportsman, businessman, priest, if he is an aesthetically developed personality,” the speaker noted. She presented the category of representatives of art-figurative and art-design thinking and explained the difference between their types. The speaker described in detail the dynamics of the development of human thinking strategies, while demonstrating auxiliary artifacts.

Thanks to Olena Polishchuk for raising the issue of understanding the characteristic features of design thinking and sharing her personal professional experience with our higher education applicants. We hope for the continuation of such useful and information-rich cooperation.
