Students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took part in the online event.
On September 20, 2021, an event was held to inform young people displaced from the Temporarily Occupied Territories about their rights and obligations in an online format using the ZOOM platform. Olena Dukhova, head of the Student Social Service of the Legal Department, initiated the participation of the university students.
The organizers were the Charitable Foundation “Stabilization Support Services”. The speakers were representatives of the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine and the Ministry of Social Protection of the Population, as well as Natalia Kryvosheeva, lawyer of the SILA project and Valeria Vershinina, advocacy manager of the SILA project.
The purpose of the event is to inform students from the temporarily occupied territories who entered educational institutions after the start of the temporary occupation, about their rights and obligations, in particular the procedures for obtaining: certificates of internally displaced persons, social scholarships, the status of a child affected by hostilities and armed conflict and other social protection issues.
The participants actively discussed topical issues of support and social protection of young people. Our students asked questions and received detailed answers.
