Acquaintance with the artistic life of Poltava
17.9.2021
The first-year students of the Institute of Culture and Arts got acquainted with the artistic life of Poltava.
In early September, the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts began to actively involve students, including freshmen, in the artistic life of Poltava.
On September 2, teachers and the first-fourth year students of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts took part in an excursion that took place in the Art Gallery named after N. Yaroshenko, where they visited the All-Ukrainian exhibition of tapestry and artistic textiles “Circle-2”. The project “Circle-2” was initiated by the People’s Artist of Ukraine Oleksandr Levadnyi, who rallied 9 artists from Kyiv, Lviv, etc. Also students viewed the works of the art exhibition of Tetiana Domnenko “Manifesto”.
On September 14, students and teachers of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts attended the presentation of the work of the famous Poltava ethnographer, scientist, teacher Vitalii Khank, his monograph is called “Mirgorod as a Center of Ceramic Education”. The event took place in the Poltava Regional Universal Scientific Library named after I.P. Kotliarevsky.
For the students, this event was extremely informative, because Vitalii Mykolaiovych is called a connoisseur of all experts. He explores the artistic life of the Poltava region, its folk crafts, the Ukrainian architectural style and biography of art and science figures.
We wish the students majoring in “Fine Arts, Decorative Arts and Restoration” and their teachers inspiration and even more interesting and useful activities!
