Ours Become the Strongest in the World

LNU powerlifters are the strongest in the world.
Our students Mykolai Barannyk, Dmytro Semenenko and Oleksii Bychkov won two golds, three silvers and two bronzes on men’s and women’s World Powerlifting Championship. It is because of this successful performance of our athletes, national team of Ukraine left the strong teams of Russia and the USA behind in the team event.
Mykolai Barannyk, International Master of Sports of Ukraine from the city of Rubizhne, became the bronze prize-winner of the World Championship in weight class up to 74 kg (sum – 832.5 kg). Also Mykolai has the gold medal in bench pressing (230 kg) and the silver medal in squat (325 kg).
International Masters of Sports of Ukraine Dmytro Semenenko (105 kg, 1035.5 kg) and Oleksii Bychkov (120 kg, 1095 kg) became the Masters of Sports of Ukraine in their weight classes. In addition, Dmytro Semenenko (the city of Luhansk) won the gold medal in squat, having made the world record – 415.5 kg.
Oleksii Bychkov, an athlete from Kramatorsk, won the silver medals in each kind of sports (squat – 425 kg, bench-pressing – 317.5 and barbell – 362.5 kg) and set the world record in sum of three events (1095 kg).
