The Contest-Festival

Yesterday the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of LNU conducted a contest “Як у нас на Україні…”.

The event was aimed to fling into the history of Ukraine and original creativeness of our people, to experience the culture of native land where wise and talented people have born and live now.

From olden times, the fame of Ukraine, its workful people, its green woods, quiet rivers and lakes blazed widely abroad. Our Ukraine is famous with its great traditions and holidays. Everyone who has a kind soul, who is full of love and gentleness to the Ukrainian holdover, returns to the traditions of native people:

Україно! Ти для мене диво!
І нехай пливе за роком рік,
Буду, завжди горда і вродлива,
З тебе дивуватися повік.

The event was opened by the Rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Serhii Savchenko. The jury included Pro-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work O. I. Babychev, Director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology O. L. Karaman, Deputy Director of the Institute of Trade, Customer Services and Tourism M. M. Chumak, Leading Specialist of HR Department O.V. Bordiuhova and the second-year student of speciality “English and Ukrainian Language and Literature” D.I. Bohatykov.

The competitors presented their projects about different regions of Ukraine. Students noted that every person has its own native land, own small Motherland, Ukraine consists of, and it is always in our hearts. For each of us the words Mother, Ukraine, Motherland are saint. Many students see Luhanshchyna as a native world which is famous with its daylights, nature reserves, monuments, museums, mounds…

Within a competition, the students were travelling through the territory of Ukraine from region to region, plunging themselves into culture and traditions of our people. The program presented Ukraine from the West to the East and from the South to the North (Odesa, Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Donetsk, Luhansk and others).

Among the participants there were the first-year students of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of specialities “Elementary Education”, “Preschool Education”, “Social Pedagogy”, “Psychology”, “Practical Psychology”, “Correctional Education” and “Elementary Education” (reduced term of education).

The winners are:

1 place – the first-year students of speciality “Social Pedagogy”,

2 place – students of speciality “Elementary Education”

3 place – students of speciality “Elementary Education” (Reduced Term of Education).

Also there were winners in the nominations:

The best dance – the first year of speciality “Psychology”, “Practical Psychology”; the best song performing – the students of speciality “Correctional Education” and the best group video presentation – students of “Preschool Education”.

In addition, the long-time friends of LNU – Patrul band – came to congratulate on Student Day. They performed the famous Ukrainian hit songs. Students and teachers enjoyed it very much.

According to the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology
