Meeting of the student self-government

The next meeting of the student self-government took place at the Faculty of Foreign Languages in this academic year 2021-2022.
The activity of student self-government is one of the leading at the faculty, which is improved every year and consists of active and persistent, and most importantly, fair students.
The chairman of the student self-government Valeria Lykhachova and the deputy chairman of the student self-government Kateryna Hrechyshkina presented the composition of the new self-government and announced the recruitment of everyone in the 1st year.
In connection with the accreditation of educational programs at the faculty, it was decided to re-vote among students of 2-4 courses, regarding the quality of education, and a primary vote among 1st year students.
The participants of the meeting discussed the selection process in selected disciplines and the quality of lectures and practical classes by teachers of educational programs. Members of the student self-government focused on academic integrity, namely, noted the importance of using plagiarism check programs, shared their experiences and strongly recommended to actively participate in our university’s online seminars on this topic. The issue of corruption in the departments of the faculty was considered, as well as measures to address this issue. Mariana Maksylevych, the headman of the dormitory No.1, analyzed the period of adaptation of 1st year students and proposed ideas for improving student life in the dormitory and the adaptive microclimate. Oksana Ladyka, the trade union organizer of the student self-government, presented a report for the last year and shared ideas on the order and fundraising for the planned events.
The student self-government decided to adhere to all provisions of academic conscientiousness when writing research papers, where the group moderators were appointed responsible. They decided to pay attention to the need for professional competencies during the educational process, carefully monitor compliance with the rules of conduct and safety in dormitories, and maintain a friendly atmosphere among all students.
The next meeting will take place in two weeks.
