Excursion to the museum

Students of the ER ICSTT visited the Luhansk Regional Museum of Local Lore.

The students majoring in 076 Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange Activities of the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism visited the Luhansk Regional Museum of Local Lore. The museum is located in the building of a former trade school, built in 1895 at the expense of the noblewoman Domna Demenkova, and is an architectural monument of the 19th century in Starobilsk city.

Forming the spiritual culture of a person, visiting local history museums is an integral part of the educational process. On September 9, 2021, specialists of the Luhansk Regional Museum of Local Lore prepared an informative excursion for students, in which they highlighted historical materials and artifacts of the Starobilsk region from ancient times to the present in a single museum space. Students visited the locations of ancient and early medieval history, as well as exhibitions dedicated to the periods of late medieval, early, modern and recent history. Additionally, they learned a lot of interesting things about the nature of the region, the protection of historical monuments, as well as about the activities of the museum staff related to methodological and fund-raising work.

The use of innovative information technologies, the introduction of modern museum techniques allows to learn about the collection. Against the background of the expositions, students had the opportunity to take memorable photos.
