Presentation of the master’s program “Economics”

The presentation of the educational and professional program “Economics” took place at the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

On September 11, 2021, the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship in a combined offline and online mode held an extended meeting with the invitation internal and external stakeholder employers. Deepening the implementation of the innovative educational process, the approaches developed by the Department have been implemented to convey to the consciousness of higher education applicants the content, goals and programmatic learning outcomes and the essence of the mechanisms of organizing the educational process. The meeting was attended by the first and second-year master’s students, all teachers of the Department involved in teaching the educational components of the program, and postgraduate students.

On the eve, the EPP-2021 and a package of provisions, norms and procedures of the LTSNU internal education quality assurance system were additionally sent to the e-mail boxes of master’s students.

At the meeting, the guarantor of the program, associate professor N. Chebotarova and head of the Department V. Chebotarov highlighted the content of the program in detail; general and professional competencies, programmatic learning outcomes and a well-developed structural and logical scheme of EPP. Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of the procedure for choosing academic disciplines and access to silabuses; using the principles of academic freedom and academic virtue; appeal against the results of assessing the knowledge of applicants and the activities of their self-government bodies.

The preliminary results of the participation of master’s students in the implementation of the research work of the department and the prospects for training applicants for the EPP under the programs of internal and external academic mobility are considered.

The teachers presented their methodological developments in compulsory and elective disciplines (including in English). It was proved that the Department received new confirmations-documents of the authorities of the regional and national levels on the introduction of scientific developments of teachers into their activities.

Applicants were presented with stakeholder reviews of the current EPP-2021. The invited stakeholder, a well-known entrepreneur, the initiator of the creation of the only industrial park in the Luhansk region, member of the public-private partnership committee of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry V. Semenov summarized the proposals of employers and the results of interviews with job seekers.

With the direct participation of applicants, employers and teachers, proposals for the development of a new draft EPP-2022 were summarized. In response to the wishes of applicants and stakeholders, the discipline “Innovative development of the enterprise” and “International business, communication behavior and etiquette of a business person” (with the presentation of the discipline material in Ukrainian) was moved from the cycle of free choice disciplines to the block of compulsory disciplines.

The lecturers initiated the representation of the EPP master’s students in the self-governing bodies of the applicants; after the meeting of the Department, M. Viriutina, a first-year master’s student, was elected Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Student Directorate of the ER IEB.
