Meeting with a stakeholder

The student teaching staff of the Department of Journalism and Publishing met with a stakeholder.

On September 9, 2021 at 14:00, students and teachers of the Department of Journalism and Publishing of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” met with the stakeholder Oksana Ochkurova – the founder and head of the public organization “Center for General Development “Diieva Homada” (Starobilsk city).

During the conversation, she spoke about the possibility of full-fledged practice, which makes it possible to take part in various events and trainings, visit other cities of Ukraine and cover events, collecting and filling the content of the Starobilsk.city website with information materials, created within the framework of the “Public Belt Donbass” and is being implemented in Starobelsk on the basis of this organization, in partnership with the Western Ukrainian Resource Center, the Center for Public Advocacy and the Lion Society, with the financial support of the European Union.

The event was organized by Artem Halych, Head of the Department of Journalism and Publishing, Doctor of Philology, Professor, and Oleh Chernysh, Assistant of the Department of Journalism and Publishing.

The meeting was very interesting and productive. Oksana willingly gave answers to questions of various nature. She advised students: not to be afraid to constantly learn something new, to combine work on oneself and university classical education and fully use their full potential.

Such meetings provide an opportunity to familiarize students with professional competencies, needs and requirements of the modern labor market, motivate higher education applicants for their own development and self-realization, which will contribute to their further employment.
