Round table: discussion of the development prospects of the IT cluster

Scientists of the ER IPMIT took part in a round table on the creation of a consortium on the basis of the Institute.

The Educational and Research Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies has been fruitfully cooperating with the Public Organization “MRII MOLODI” for a long period of time. Educational seekers, as volunteers, help in organizing classes at the school of programming for schoolchildren in order to develop the interest of young people in the IT world, living in the Luhansk region.

On September 7, a round table was held at the Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies, which was attended by its Director Hennadii Mohylnyi, head of the ITS department Mykola Semenov, founder, chairman of the board of NGO MRII MOLODI Svitlana Kutsenko, member of NGO MRII MOLODI Viktoria Sichkar.

Hennadii Mohylnyi told the partners about the possibilities of the innovative class. The computer center (ICR) of the university contains three interconnected areas. The creative training zone (ICR1) contains multimedia equipment, computer gadgets, and transforming furniture. All this taken together makes it possible to design various types of group and individual educational activities: presentations, trainings, brainstorming sessions, teamwork, public defense of the works. The 3D modeling zone (ICR2) contains the main and auxiliary equipment for the practical implementation of projects in the field of 3D modeling. The Engineering Creativity and Robotics Zone (ICR3) is designed for hands-on work with robots and other educational equipment that is designed for engineering creativity.

Then, the parties discussed the content of the courses that can be studied at the programming school, the main topics of studying programming for robots, 3D modeling, and the study of Arduino.

At the suggestion of Mykola Semenov, it was decided to create a consortium on the basis of the ER IPMIT and NGO MRII MOLODI in order to develop IT in the Luhansk region, as well as create an IT cluster in Rubizhne city on the basis of the aforementioned consortium.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of the ER IPMIT invited the youth of the Luhansk region to visit the innovation class (ICR) and the Institute.
