Flash mob for freshmen

At the Foreign Languages Department, the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology held a flashmob for first-year students of all specialties “Introduction to the University.”
The organizers of the flashmob, the head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology Bindas Olena Mykolayivna, the dean of the Foreign Languages Department Shekhavtsova Svitlana Oleksandrivna and the deputy dean for social and humanitarian work Shkarlet Valeria Oleksandrivna told the first-year students about our university’s long history. The flashmob dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University began with the presentation by the Dean of the Foreign Languages Department of a historical book, which preserves the most important moments of the university life, as well as the most important figures of our Alma Mother.
An important guest of our flashmob – the director of the library Maryna Mykolayivna Pochynkova joined our flashmob in Zoom and told the students about the history and achievements of the library, what a “repository” is and how to use it, made an online tour of the library for us and made an accent that when writing any scientific papers, even while away from the library, everyone can get advice and assistance in selecting literature. Maryna Mykolayivna answered all the troubling questions and provided useful advice. Elena Bindas, Head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology, acquainted the students in detail with the various opportunities for each of the selected foreign languages. Valeria Alexandrovna Shkarlet acquainted the students in more detail with the official website of the university and explained what information and where exactly can be found, presented the website of the international department and opportunities to participate in various grants. At the end of the flashmob, the organizers gave answers to all questions. The interest of students in our informative flashmob prompted us to the next faculty meeting, which will also aim at the cohesion of freshmen.
