Meeting of the Student Self-Government
2.9.2021
A meeting of student self-government was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies.
On August 30, 2021, representatives of the student self-government of the Educational and Research Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies gathered to discuss the work results of the academic year 2020-2021 and organizing the start of the new academic year.
Natalia Lemish, the student director of the ER IPMIT, addressed the audience with an introductory speech, who spoke about the features of the past year and the difficulties that arise when studying in quarantine. In general, she positively characterized the work of the self-government, but noted that it is necessary to strengthen the work to establish feedback from students and teachers, namely to conduct more surveys about the learning process, develop mechanisms for publishing student feedback on educational components, and closely monitor the process of choosing optional disciplines. Unfortunately, some education seekers are reluctant to take part in surveys.
Then the floor was taken by Oleksandr Snezhko and Anastasia Arsenieva, who visited Lviv in summer to exchange experience with representatives of self-government of other educational institutions. They briefly told about their journey and promised to prepare a more detailed story for the next meeting.
Then there was a very lively discussion of the start of the new academic year and the holding of festive events with freshmen.
