The Head of the Student Social Service participated in the training.
This week, the Head of the Student Social Service of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” Olena Dukhova took part in the training, which is being implemented within the project “Socio-economic support for the reintegration of veterans of the conflict in eastern Ukraine and their families”, which is being implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) with financial support from the European Union. The NGO “Dіieva Hromada” is the project coordinator in the Luhansk region. The trainer of this event was Anton Nazmiev, a teacher of the Psychology Department of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.
“Psychological first aid is what each of us carries out in his daily work in relation to those who are nearby – either they are close people, or completely strangers. During different periods of life, we all face many difficult situations and challenges of fate,” the psychologist said. The session included games, practical exercises and the opportunity to provide humane assistance, respecting the essential principles of respect for the safety, dignity and rights of victims. Participants learned about ethical guidelines for what to say and do in the interests of victims. At the end of the lesson, the psychologist noted that it is important to be in balance and be able to master your own psycho-emotional state.
The participants of the training shared their impressions and expressed their gratitude for the lesson and the new useful skills they received.
