All-Ukrainian Educational Forum

The Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology Olena Karaman took part in the All-Ukrainian Educational Forum on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of independence of Ukraine.

On August 19, 2021, the All-Ukrainian August Forum “Education of Ukraine 30 Without Barriers: Vectors of Quality and Success” was held in Kyiv, which brought together teachers from 24 regions of Ukraine.

The delegation from the Luhansk region was represented by Deputy Chairman of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Kateryna Bezhynska; Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Yurii Stetsiuk; Deputy Director of LOIPPO Olha Kasianova; Acting Director of the Department of State Service for the Quality of Education in the Luhansk Region Oksana Bublei; Head of the Education Department of the Severodonetsk Military-Civil Administration Larisa Volchenko; and the Director of the ER IPP of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Olena Karaman. 

The Forum was attended by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Rozumkov; Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet; President of the NAES of Ukraine Vasyl Kremen, other representatives of the authorities and international organizations.

During the entire event, a teleconference was held with various cities of Ukraine, where thematic locations worked, in particular, “Safe School – Safe Country” (International Children’s Center “Artek” in Pushcha-Voditsa), “School for All – Education for Me” (the city of Bila Tserkva), “Basic School – Space for Personal Growth” (the city of Dnipro), “New Ukrainian School: Innovative Dimensions of Teaching, Learning and Upbringing (NAES of Ukraine, Kyiv),” Preschool Education for the Future: Achievements and Prospects” (the city of Zaporizhzhia), etc.

The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet outlined the priority areas in which the reform of the educational sphere of independent Ukraine continues: affordable and high-quality preschool education; New Ukrainian School; modern professional education; quality higher education and development of adult education; development of science and innovation. Each of them implements tasks aimed at achieving a common goal – the preparation of competitive human capital for high-tech and innovative development of the country, strengthening Ukraine’s position in the European and global educational space.

Thus, the priority directions of the development of the education system in Ukraine cover all its links, from preschool to education and self-education of adults within the framework of the implementation of the concept of lifelong learning. So, the Minister emphasizes the development of the continuous education system that has developed in Ukraine since independence.
