Studying at the International Summer School

The Head of the Department of Production Technologies and Vocational Education was trained at the International Summer School.

From July 27 to August 3, 2021, Viktor Burdun, Head of the Department of Production Technologies and Vocational Education of the ER ICSTT (State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”, was trained under the program of the advanced training course for teachers “Communication Tools for Teachers in the Digital Age” as part of the International Summer School in Turkey.

The participants of the International Summer School learned about the peculiarities of teachers’ communication in the digital era, identified the target audiences of teachers and the goals of communication, considered the rules of communication in social networks, learned about the possibilities of running their own website and video blog.

Also, during the trainings, teachers exchanged cases of successful communications with various target audiences, shared their observations regarding the changes that have occurred in professional activity and private life in connection with the digitalization of society. A layout of its own brand was developed and a communication plan was created to promote this brand.

The issues of scientific communication of the teacher in the digital era and the publication activity of the teacher were considered, the problem of academic integrity and observance of copyright in the scientific works of teachers and students was discussed.

In parallel with studying at the International Summer School, the teachers got acquainted with the historical places of the western Black Sea coast of Turkey. The school participants visited the canyons and caves of the Karabuk province, learned about the interesting history and culture of the ancient cities of Safranbolu (included in the UNESCO heritage list) and Amasra.

We hope that the acquired skills will be useful in organizing the educational process at the Department of Production Technologies and Vocational Education, ER ICSTT.
