The Director of the Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences of LTSNU was on the air of the TV channel “UA: First”.

On the day of the seventh anniversary of the liberation of Severodonetsk from Russian occupation, Doctor of Political Sciences, Associate Professor, Director of the Educational and Research Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences Anton Bader commented on the events of seven years ago on the air of the central TV channel “UA: First”.

According to Anton Vasilyevich, these days a number of settlements of the Luhansk region were liberated, including the cities of Severodonetsk and Lysychansk. The ATO, and later the JFO, which has been going on since April 2014, is one of the most dramatic pages in the history of our country.
The political scientist noted: “The liberation of these settlements has a symbolic meaning in the new history of Ukraine, because these events have changed the outlook of the population. And the hidden aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine is extremely important in the world geopolitical game.”

The liberation operation lasted for several days, but for many people it was an eternity – terrible and creepy. The liberation of Lysychansk came at a very high cost – 15 Ukrainian soldiers were killed.

We remember the feat of everyone who fought for peace in the Luhansk region. Peace to us and Ukraine!
