12.7.2021
An employee of the ER ICSTT met with the head of the Department of Culture, Nationalities, Religions and Tourism of the LSMCA Alina Adamchuk.
The Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism is establishing interaction with government authorities for the tourism development in the Luhansk region. So, on July 2, 2021, in the Luhansk Regional Military-Civil Administration, the head of the Department of Culture, Nationalities, Religions and Tourism Alina Adamchuk met with Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business, guarantor of the EPP “Hotel and Restaurant Business” Alla Hutsol.
During the meeting, important and urgent problems of training future specialists in tourism, hotel and restaurant business were considered, professional competencies that are formed in future competitive specialists were discussed. The prospects for further cooperation in the development of tourism and hotel and restaurant industry in the Luhansk region were also identified, the possibility of implementing joint initiatives was discussed, the purpose of which is to popularize regional tourism and create a regional tourist product.
Among the problematic moments, it was determined that today there are temporary restrictions on tourist travel, excursions and hikes along the line of contact between the checkpoints of the first and second lines on the territory of Schastiainskyi and Severodonetskyi districts of the Luhansk region. At the moment, the number of administrative-territorial units of the region controlled by the Ukrainian authorities is 7, of which: 4 districts and 3 cities of regional significance, in which tourism can and should be developed.
The recovery of the industry at the initial stage is possible provided that domestic regional tourism is activated. It is enough just to ask what opportunities this territory has, and most of those who wish will be able to organize their vacation in accordance with individual needs, without leaving the region. In these conditions, the need to search for mechanisms for the development of the tourism industry is actualized, especially taking into account the characteristics and competitive advantages.
