Participation in the MoodleMoot Ukraine 2021

The Head of the Department of Information Technologies and Systems took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference.

June 17, 2021 Mykola Semenov, Head of the Department of Information Technologies and Systems, took part in the 9th International Scientific and Practical Conference “MoodleMoot Ukraine 2021”. Theory and practice of using the Moodle learning management system, both as a member of the program committee and as a speaker.

MoodleMoot is the traditional name for conferences that are hosted around the world by users of the Moodle Learning Management System. Their conduct has certain features, the main of which are communication, exchange of ideas and experience on the conference website, created on the Moodle platform.

This year, the conference was held via videoconference on June 17, 2021. Video recordings of the performances will be posted on the website: https://2021.moodlemoot.in.ua/

Mykola Semyonov, representative of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, played an active role in holding this conference, first as a member of the program committee he took part in the selection of works, and then as a speaker together with student Vladyslav Krotkykh with a report on the topic “Outcomes Moodle 2.7 vs Competency Frameworks Moodle 3.11 (comparative analysis of the implementation of the competence-based approach in different versions of moodle)” https://2021.moodlemoot.in.ua/mod/page/view.php?id=134

The conference contributed to the establishment and strengthening of cooperation between developers, scientific and pedagogical, teaching staff in the field of using and improving Moodle; exchange of positive experiences; discussion and joint search for solutions to the problems associated with the introduction of distance learning based on the Moodle platform; further development and implementation of ICT in institutions of general secondary, higher, postgraduate education.

The participation of the university representative will help introduce this experience into the educational process of LuhanskTaras Shevchenko National University.
