Final certification at the Journalism Department

The Department of Journalism and Publishing conducted the final certification and defense of creative qualifying bachelor’s works.
During June 8 – 9, 2021, the Department of Journalism and Publishing conducted the state final certification for the full-time and part-time students majoring in 101 “Journalism”.
The defense was carried out on a mixed system: on the Microsoft Teams platform and live in the auditorium No 102 at the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”, where students, chairman, members of the commission, examiners, secretary were at the same time and saw each other.
Welcoming remarks were made by the chairman of the examination committee Oksana Korchagina, Candidate of Sciences in social communications, leading specialist of the Postgraduate Education Department of the Luhansk State University of Internal Affairs named after E.A. Didorenko and Artem Halych, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Head of the Department of Journalism and Publishing.
The examination committee included: Dmytro Uzhchenko – Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Anna Stas – Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications. Examiners: Artem Halych – Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Journalism and Publishing, Kateryna Ulianova – Candidate of Sciences in Social Communications, Associate Professor of the Department of Journalism and Publishing. The secretary was Tatiana Kononenko – senior laboratory assistant of the Department of Journalism and Publishing.
Among the projects presented were magazines and newspapers on sports, art, military, popular science topics. The commission members were also presented with the author’s television and radio programs of the alumni.
According to the results of the defense, the following works were determined as the best:
- Oleksandr Starytskyi ,, Development of the Original Layout of the Popular Science Industry Publication “Pasika” (Apiary);
- Dmytro Shakun “Creation of an Information Project for a Sport Radio Program “Sports in Trend”;
- Yaroslav Yakovenko “Creation of a Radio Broadcast Project “Our Garage”.
Tetiana Pinchuk, Candidate of Philology, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications, made a closing speech and an announcement of the results.
