Open Lecture for Students of Philology

Students of Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications had a lecture on the linguistics teaching methods.

Open lecture for the forth-year students of speciality “Ukrainian Language and Literature” has been held today at LNU. It was conducted by Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Alla Vasylivna Nikitina. The lecturers and university employees attended the lecture as well.

The training was aimed at mastering the linguistic methodology of text at the Ukrainian Language teaching at school. The main items of the lecture were:

• State, matter and the value of text linguistics in the school course of the Ukrainian language;
• The scientific foundations for the study of text linguistics (principles, methods and techniques of training);
• Linguistic and methodological text analysis.
  

  

  

  

Students considered a text as linguistic and methodological subject and learned about text working methods. In addition, philologists compared linguistics courses at the secondary and higher schools and worked with the text.
