VI Ukrainian-Polish Seminar
2.6.2021
Representatives of the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship took part in the VI Ukrainian-Polish seminar.
On June 1, 2021, the VI Ukrainian-Polish Scientific and Practical Seminar was held, the basis of which was the cooperation between the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship of our University and the Department of Management of the University of Lodz (LU) within the implementation of the Agreement between Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and LU, concluded in September 2014. The topic of the VI seminar is “Modern Trends in the Field of International Business Security”.
Previous seminars were held offline in Poland and Ukraine. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the seminar was unfortunately held online. However, this did not restrain the interest of the academic community in cooperation between LTSNU and LU scientists. The traditional participants in such events are scientists from the Institute of Industrial Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and leading research institutions in Poland – were joined by other partners: from the Republic of Belarus and Slovakia, representatives of a world-renowned scientific school – the theory of disposition groups under the leadership of Jan Matseevsky (University of Wrocław).
A few more differences this year (in this case, this was facilitated by the online mode): students and undergraduates of the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship of LTSNU joined the discussion of business security problems by scientists. Among them there are already those who have started their own entrepreneurial activity, and some undergraduates are leading specialists of the Starobilsk, Bilovodsk and Novopskov communities.
The VI Ukrainian-Polish Seminar with the assistance of the University of Lodz was covered online also on Facebook.
The following reports of representatives of Ukraine aroused particular interest of foreign and domestic participants: Viacheslav Liashenko (“Mode of activating international-public-private partnership in the interaction of business between Ukraine and Poland”), Andrii Kolosov (“Economic foundations of de-oligarchization in Ukraine”), Yehor and Viacheslav Chebotarov (“The theory of national business cultures as a policy component in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic”). It should be noted that LTSNU scientists made their reports in English and Polish. The latest report by LTSNU researchers was prepared in the context of the implementation of the Ukrainian-Polish project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Agency for Academic Exchange of Poland, National Business Cultures of Poland and Ukraine: Improving the Scientific and Practical Basis of Cooperation on European and World Markets (along with teachers of the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship, students and undergraduates are involved in its implementation).
