International Children’s Day

Luhansk National Taras Shevchenko University joined the celebration of the International Children’s Day.

International Children’s Day is a kind of reminder of their helplessness and insecurity. Therefore, congratulations on this day are a symbolic sign that shows that adults will always protect and take care of kids.

Thus, the volunteers of our university congratulated children from low-income families and children with disabilities, as well as toddlers of the university staff.

Representatives of the student social service of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” together with the staff of the Charity Foundation “Mercy-Luhansk”, within the framework of a memorandum of interaction and cooperation, visited children from foster families. Merry Bunny and Tiger gave the kids pleasant memories and valuable gifts within the framework of the project “Help for Families” with the financial support of Caritas Österreich. Funny dances and comic songs inspired the kids and their parents with positive emotions.

The holiday continued with an event for the children of the university employees. The organizer was the head of the Student Social Service of the Legal Department Olena Dukhova with the financial support of the Primary Trade Union Organization of LTSNU.

An interesting entertainment program with contests and dances was held in the gym. The highlight was the art-coloring for children, conducted by the students majoring inTechnologies and Tourism. Incentive prizes for the perpetrators of the holiday became a pleasant result.

The future of our state and the entire world community depends on the happy and safe childhood of the younger generation. Therefore, let’s protect and appreciate our heirs!
