Advanced training

The head of the Social Service of the Legal Department took advanced training courses.

Prometheus is a Ukrainian public project of massive open online courses, founded in 2014. The main goal of the project is to provide free online access to university-level courses for everyone, as well as to provide an opportunity to publish and distribute such courses to leading teachers, universities and companies.

So, within the framework of this project, the head of the Social Service of the Legal Department Olena Dukhova, completed 3 advanced training courses.

After listening to the course “Women and Men: Gender for All” from the teacher of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy Tamara Martsenyuk, Olena learned to professionally analyze events and social phenomena from a gender point of view, avoid discrimination, better understand the rights and ways to protect them, and actively use the received knowledge in public debate and everyday life. The course included innovative and interesting teaching methods, such as: watching videos, completing practical tasks, participating in discussions.

The next was the course “5 Steps to Mental Health during a Pandemic”, provided by the course author Kateryna Goltsberg.

The course “Protecting the Rights of People with Disabilities” taught the manager to talk about disability without unnecessary regret and empathy, respect people and help them defend human rights, understand people with disabilities and cooperate in an inclusive and informal education. The main direction of training was the professional development of pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical workers of any direction for obtaining basic information on the topic of disability and mastering competent communication, correct terminology, as well as ethics of attitude towards people with disabilities, creating and maintaining inclusion in education for the further development of Ukrainian education.
