State Examination

The state certification took place at the Foreign Languages Department.

From May 17 to 20, state exams were taken by candidates for a bachelor’s degree in full-time and part-time forms of teaching specialties: «Philology. Oriental languages ​​and literatures (translation included), the first – Japanese. Language and Literature (Japanese, English)», «Philology. Oriental languages ​​and literatures (translation included), the first – Chinese». Language and Literature (Chinese, English) and «Secondary Education. Language and literature (English, Spanish, German, French) ».

On May 18 and 19, foreign candidates majoring in «Language and Literature (Russian, English)» took state exams. The exams took place offline. The students, despite their preparation, were really worried, but the working atmosphere and support of the examiners helped to achieve positive results.

This year the chairman of the examination commission was Valentina Leonidovna Ishchenko – Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the  Business Foreign Language Department, Poltava University of Economics and Trade. The examination commission was also headed by the Dean of the Foreign Languages Department, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor – Svitlana  Oleksandrivna Shekhavtsova; Head of the Romano-Germanic Philology Department, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor – Elena  Bindas; Head of the Theory and Practice of Translation Department, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor – Svitlana Vyacheslavovna Perova; Head of the World Literature and Russian Linguistics Department, Doctor of Philology, Professor – Victoria Ihorivna Dmytrenko. There was a calm and friendly atmosphere at the exams.

Long periods of online training created some difficulties for preparation, but did not affect the results of applicants. All graduates passed the exams for positive grades and confirmed the results they received during four years of fruitful study. Most of the graduates expressed a desire to continue their student careers at our university at the second master’s level of higher education.

Therefore, the Foreign Languages ​​ Department wishes each graduate new achievements, inspiration and desire to remain in the scientific and philological spheres, as well as is pleased to welcome everyone to the master’s degree next academic year.
