21.5.2021
On May 20, World Vyshyvanka Day was celebrated at the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business.
For many centuries, embroidery has been a real symbol of the Ukrainian people. This is not only national dress, it is also an adornment, and the pride of every Ukrainian.
That is why every year Ukrainians celebrate World Vyshyvanka Day. This holiday has become traditional for Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business.
So, the teachers and students of the Institute took part in many competitions and challenges held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, in particular “My Family in Vyshyvanka -2021ˮ, “Colors Intertwined Like a Rainbow”, “Mother’s Vyshyvanka”, “Our Destiny is Embroidered” and “Modern Ukrainian Girl -2021”. Students sent photos of their embroidered shirts and were photographed with their family in beautiful national clothing.
On May 20, the directorate of the Institute joined the action “Born in Vyshyvanka” and congratulated the teacher of the Department of Finance, Accounting and Banking Viktoria Skrypnik, who recently gave birth to a daughter. The girl was presented with a small embroidered shirt, which should become a talisman in her life.
