Education Applicants of the Department of Commodity Research, Trade Entrepreneurship and Goods Expertise majoring in 076, “Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange Activity”, of the educational program “Commodity Science and Commercial Activity” and “Commodity Science and Expertise in Customs” took part in a webinar on the topic “Modern standardization of Ukraine: role and implications for the ACAAˮ Agreement, which took place on May 13, 2021.

Recently, the Ministry of Economy presented the final report on the readiness of the quality infrastructure of Ukraine to conclude the ACAA Agreement, the so-called “industrial visa-free visa”, which was prepared following the results of seven months of the work of the previous EU assessment mission. In total, 18 online meetings were held with representatives of all relevant government agencies and organizations.

Today, the Ukrainian side is awaiting the official completion of the work of the previous EU assessment mission and expresses its readiness to move to the next stage of obtaining a mandate to negotiate the conclusion of the ACAA Agreement.

During the webinar, representatives of the Department of Technical Regulation and Innovation Policy of the Ministry of Economy, key institutions and organizations of quality infrastructure, business associations provided information on topical areas of development of the system of technical regulation and standardization in the focus of interaction with European partners, and also outlined the prospects for domestic business.
