Honoring the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation at the ER ICA

The ER ICA hosted curatorial hours dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation and the 76th anniversary of the victory over Nazism.
On May 7, the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts held curatorial hours dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation and the 76th anniversary of the victory over Nazism.
The curators of the specialty “Fine Arts, Decorative Arts, Restoration” together with students raised the topic of war in the context of modernity. They remembered the Red Poppy, which symbolizes the bloody trail of a bullet and is considered an international symbol of memory of the victims of all military and civil armed conflicts. Students prepared reports and presentations on the theme of the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation.
The curators of the specialty “Musical Arts” discussed with student groups the history of the establishment of the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation and the Day of Victory over Nazism in World War II. The students A. Kalatura, A. Titarenko, V. Shapovalov and Ya. Sokolov prepared reports on important historical moments of the Second World War. Also, during the event participants discussed the moral and ethical aspects that have their manifestation during hostilities.
Students majoring in “Audiovisual Art and Production” were invited to review video projects from the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory “War and Myth” and “Dialogues about War”. The event discussed issues of the emotional perception of war by a modern person and the impact of World War II on the national memory of the Ukrainian people.
The students and teaching staff of the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts express gratitude to all veterans and honors the memory of those who fell in World War II.
